When you buy your own holiday home, you’re not just purchasing your holiday accommodation. What many people don’t realise is that you also get added benefits that are exclusively for holiday home owners.

Of course, a great holiday isn’t reliant on how fancy it is but exclusive facilities can make it that bit much luxurious.

Owner-only facilities

Owning a holiday home is like gaining access to an exclusive club. Each park offers a range of owner-only facilities where owners can relax away from the hustle and bustle of the main park.

Relax in the owners’ lounge, socialise with your neighbours at an owners’-only event or use your Privilege Card to get a 15% discount off food and drink on park and half price sports and leisure activities.

There are also plenty of things that you can enjoy for free on the park as an owner. From heated indoor pools to climbing walls, if you own your own caravan access to certain activities will be completely free.

Owner-only golf course and club house

Yes, you read it right – some parks even have their own golf course which is exclusively for holiday home owners. So if there’s a keen golfer in your party they can indulge in a relaxing morning on the golf course – undisturbed by other holidaymakers. They could even challenge a friend from a neighbouring caravan to a round.

At Hafan Y Môr in North Wales, the golf course even has its own clubhouse for owners to enjoy before and after they play. The courses on some parks, such as Thorpe Park in Lincolnshire, are not exclusively for owners but they do get free access.

Stay on the park longer than everyone else

And once the other holidaymakers have left the park at the end of November, caravan owners can still enjoy their holiday homes beyond the end of the main season.

The parks aren’t open for owners all year round but the extended season (usually until January) means they can enjoy a quieter, more peaceful break out of season when the crowds are gone. You could even spend Christmas in your holiday home if you wanted.

So these owner benefits really can make you feel extra special and give you reasons to come back again and again. And who can say no to a bit of luxury?
