Week two of ‘Jordan Draws’

Mar 16, 2013 11 Comments by

He cannot read and write, but the boy can draw.

Jordan has Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties. As a result he struggles academically. However, we are encouraging him to put some focus on what he enjoys, to help boost his confidence and show him he isn’t ‘useless/stupid’ like he thinks he is. That thing just happens to be drawing.

Each week, Jordan will draw a picture especially for our readers, the theme can be anything he fancies. He receives no guidance what so ever, is left with paper and a stack of pencils.

This week he decided to mix it up a little, he isn’t copying a picture he has seen in a book, instead he is drawing his LEGO Hero Factory figure..

As always, comments are read out to Jordan, thank you so so much to everyone who commented last week, he was in awe at the amount of comments he had…and how lovely they were too! Thank you to each and everyone of you.

That’s great – it’s much harder to draw a 3D object than a flat image. Well done!

That’s amazing, its so much harder to draw a real life object than to copy a picture and the detail and the way you have everything in proportion shows great skill. Never stop drawing 🙂
