Despite being a mum to four children, until just a few weeks ago I had never had a feeding pillow. When the Mombo nursing pillow by Comfort & Harmony turned up for review I wondered if it would make my life any easier.
First up, it comes in a reusable plastic storage bag, handy for keeping it clean when travelling. Inside the storage bag was the pillow, all ready for use. Inside the pillow is a ‘vibration unit’ which you can turn on and off as and when needed.
It also features Firm2Soft™ design, which means that on one side of the pillow is a firm side, the other is a softer side. The idea is that the firm side is for feeding, and the soft side for lounging and play. This means that not only can it be used from birth for feeding, but as your baby grows up it can be used for tummytime (Baby Emma’s favourite past time at the moment!), it can also be used to help babies learn to sit up, by supporting them.
My 3 year old has also taken a shine to it, as a pillow!!
My first time using it, it felt amazing to have my daughter supported without my arms propping up high to keep her elevated, and it meant no cushions being propped up under my elbow too. It really has made feeding easier. Teamed with the other uses, such as tummy time and sitting support, it is a brilliant baby buy.
