The Baby Show hits Birmingham NEC next weekend (18th to 20th May 2012) and I have been carefully writing my list of wants and needs.

Now the great thing about The Baby Show is there is a lot of products which are not even available to buy in the high street shops, and there is always lots of new and exciting products which I have never seen before. With this is mind I haven’t set myself a budget, as I know it will fly out of the window if I find something fantastic!

The first thing I will be doing is searching for the perfect double pushchair. One which can be used with a long toddler for those emergency school runs when his dawdling is just not up to scratch, I also thought it would come in handy when he is tired or not feeling well. In an ideal world Mark would walk everywhere but he will still be 2 and I just can’t see it being a reality.

The one stand my husband is hoping I avoid, but will actually make a bee-line for is Stokke (Stand C20). I want to see the Sleepi cot in all its shiny glory, I am so sure that is the perfect addition for my bump! I will try and resist the MyCarrier and the Xplory….note the word try.

Nappies. I am heading to Bambino Mio (stand E12) to talk to one of their knowledgeable staff who will hopefully show me the brand new one piece nappy, the Miosolo. I already have a stack of medium Bambino Mio 2 piece nappies left over from Marky which I plan to use too when baby is big enough. So on my list is some fantastic Bambino Mio Wipes, some Miofresh, a nappy bin and some Laundry Bags.

I need a new changing bag, not want, I actually NEED one. A Sugarjack (Stand F22) Rebecca to be precise. I am in total love with it and if there is a show offer I will not be able to refuse!

Dummies, bottles and steriliser. I shall be heading to my trusty favourite, MAM (stand E9) to get some newborn soothers in case baby wants a soother like Mark did. I also need a new bottle brush!

Moses Basket. Yes I already have one from Mark, but I am a shopping addict and the chance to get another makes me smile, so I shall head to Mamas and Papas (Stand N5) to check out their beautiful baskets and blankets, as you can never have too many cute blankets.

Prima Baby (Stand N15) will be visited, as they always do a fabulous goody bag when you buy a copy of their magazine. They also give away a free gift when you sign up to be a subscriber of the magazine.

Nuby (standE13) needs a visit to pick Mark up some new sippy bottles. They always have good special offers!

Finally, I shall head to Emmas Diary Drop off Point where I can drop off my loot and then head for some much needed lunch.

I am going to fit this all into one day I hope! Wish me luck!
