If you are an expecting mum who intends to nurse her baby, you might be considering the type of nursing clothing you’d like to buy.  Nursing clothing is a special type of clothing that usually contains either side or hidden panels that make it easy to expose your breast for nursing your baby.  Did you know, though, that you can purchase maternity wear right now that you can still use as your nursing wear after your baby is born?  Several of the summer maternity wear fashions are also suitable as nursing clothing.  Vertbaudet sells many of these types of maternity wear for nursing mums-to-be.

One of the easiest maternity tops to use for nursing is the button-up shirt.  This type of top does not need any additional panels or flaps.  Instead, you would simply undo the top few buttons of your blouse and then unclasp your nursing bra to begin feeding your baby.  If you decide to purchase a few button-up maternity shirts, you’ll be well prepared for nursing later on.

A wrap top is another popular maternity and nursing style for expectant mothers.  Since most women become larger in the bust during pregnancy, they may like to have additional room in the bust line to accommodate their growing shape.  Once your baby is born, you can also use the wrap top to easily nurse your baby.  Simply open the wrap collar and then open your nursing bra.

Special nursing tops can also double as maternity tops during pregnancy.  These shirts usually have hidden front panels that you can pull down and push your breast through for nursing.  Some of the newer nursing top fashions make use of additional draped fabric across the front of the shirt.  Instead of pulling the shirt down to expose the hidden panel, you’d simply pull the draping to the side to expose your breast.  Another new style of nursing top uses a mock cardigan look to hide the breast opening.  This type of shirt has an additional fabric layer with a tie in the front over a tank.  Mums can simply pull the layer to the side to begin nursing.

Some maternity dresses are also suitable for breastfeeding, which can be a big help to new moms who intend to nurse.  These dresses are typically made with either a wrap-style top, which can be pulled down for nursing, or a draped top that can be pulled to the side for nursing.  These dresses may also be of help to nursing moms who have to return to work and need to pump breast milk during the day.

If you prefer to wear regular maternity tops, you can still nurse easily.  You can simply pull your shirt up, place your baby on the breast and then lay the baby across your belly.  No one will even know you’re nursing!
