Don’t send a card, send a cake instead! Letterbox Cake from Baker Days Review

I like cake, but my husband loves cake even more than me. So when a box dropped through my letterbox and I opened it up and said ‘Ah, yes the letterbox cake from Baker Days‘, he was intrigued but with much humour in his voice that surely the cake is broken.

I opened up the box, showed him the tin that contained the holy grail of cake, but he still wouldn’t believe me that it would be in one piece….

I opened the tin and showed him…

He was impressed, but when I cut into the cake…I wish I had filmed his reaction. ‘It’s ginger cake’ I told him….’IS IT?!?!?!?!’ and he practically jumped out of his seat. Ginger cake is his all time favourite. Taking a slice of the cake, he sniffed it, poked it, he is a real cake connoisseur and knows a good cake. He took a bite, and his face melted. ‘That’s good cake!’ he said. he then proceeded to eat the whole of the cake, well he did give me a little slither of a tit-bit. I can concur, it is good cake. It was moist, full of flavour and rather delicious.

So aside from the cake, included in the box is a personalised card, and a package of party blowers, balloons, candles and holder. It really is the complete package!

Having family all over the UK, I am so glad that I have tried a company that deliver cake, the prove is in the cake that it arrives perfect! Sod the cards from now on everyone will be getting cake instead!

You can buy a massive range of cakes online for delivery at they literally have a cake for every occasion. You can even have a photo and personalisation on a cake! You can even send them to BFPO addresses. Just imagine how special it will be for your loved one to open a box and find a cake lovingly ordered especially for them!

We were sent a Letterbox Gift Cake which costs £14.99 to review. All thought are our own, and yes as you can tell, we are VERY impressed!
