There is nothing more heartwarming than rescuing something that looks all sad, and making it happy again. Now kids can do just that, no matter how old they are. Rescue Runts have hit the shelves, and how could not resist these little sad eyes, just begging to be adopted and loved…

Emma was suckered in big time, she said her unicorn looked sad in his box and she didn’t waste any time in ripping that box open and giving him ALL the love…

The first job is an important one, as you can see poor Unicorn has fleas! Included in the set is a pair of plastic tweezers do you can pull the fleas out.

Once they are out, you can work on brushing your pet with the brush provided…

Next up, drying those tears away. Our Unicorn cheered right up after having lots of love..

Once you rub those tears away, you can then give Unicorns paws a clean up! Just use some warm water and the muddy paws disappear like magic (they do come back, I believe it is heat related because you can warm them in your hands for them to disappear too!)

Once that is all done, you are left with a beautiful pet, who looks like new! How satisfying?

What I adore about Rescue Runts, is that it really brings out a childs caring side. Emma has found she has lots of empathy, something quite new to her, so it’s been a valuable lesson. She has loved caring for her unicorn! The RRP of £17.99 is really reasonable, and I love how it’s something different from the usual soft toy that has no special features.

You can buy your own Rescue Runt from Amazon, Smyths, Argos and The Entertainer for RRP £17.99.
