Christmas for me is all about family time, a time when no one has to rush off to work and you get to just spend good quality time together enjoying each others company. Growing up we would have a huge family celebration around my Nan and Grandads house, and the whole family would get involved. Now I have my own children, Christmas is a bit smaller and includes just me and my tribe of four children, my youngest is 4 (nearly 5) and my eldest is 15. Finding family games that are fun and suitable for all ages, has been one of my main missions in the run up to Christmas and I think I have found some real gems!

Doggie Doo

A new improved Doggie Doo from when we first got our hands on one a few years ago, I was excited to see what was new. Opening up Doggie Doo we found it has changed loads, it now has pellets for the poop, and also a new plug for the mouth. I love that no batteries are needed, just spin the spinner and pump the lead, as you do you will hear the gurgle of Doggie’s belly as the pellet works it way through, and then it pops out onto the scoop. This is such a brilliantly updated version, a firm favourite here now!

Igloo Mania

We first reviewed this earlier this year, you can read the full review here. It is one of my most favourite Christmas based games. Build an igloo, use the ice picks to take a brick, but make sure the igloo doesn’t collapse!

Giggle Wiggle

I first saw Giggle Wiggle at Blog On conference, it’s a fast paced fun game. The caterpillar wiggles all his legs, and you have to put your coloured balls on each of his feet, but he will twist and turn completely around, sending balls flying. It’s great fun and the whole family can do this game with ease.

Mr Bucket

Mr Bucket comes in pieces, you have to assemble his bucket, adding the arms. Once constructed you just add batteries and add the balls. You pick a coloured spade and then you have to use it to pick up your coloured balls and get them inside Mr Bucket, sounds simple doesn’t it? Well Mr Bucket spits them out, so you better be quick! This is one that adults have also loved doing but some of the younger ones have got very frustrated with the spitting.

What’s your favourite family games to play at Christmas? I would love to hear what your favourites! You can buy all of these games from all good toy stockists for your Christmas of fun.

We received all the products featured for the purpose of reviews, all thoughts are our own.
