I actually cannot believe that the Teletubbies are 20 this year! I remember vividly when they first hit the screens, I was 12 and they hit the nation by storm. The four lovable characters include Tinky Winky, Dipsy, La-La and Po, not to mention the ‘baby in the sky’ and NooNoo.

Now all these years later, having my own four children, they have all grown up watching the Teletubbies and my 4 year old still loves them. The show has been updated with a fresher feel but all the fun that it used to hold too.

There is a huge range of merchandise available too, from book to DVD’s, playsets, cuddly toys and much more. We were sent the super cool ‘Big Hug DVD’ which available now in all good shops.

It includes six episodes and some great special features, but the best bit for Bemma was the included colouring book!

We also have this great Teletubbies ‘The Tubby Custard Ride’ book from Egmont. It has an RRP of £5.99, but has an interactive aspect, so your child can join in the story by using the pull tabs, slide the spinners and push the others. It has all the characters inside, and fans will love it I’m sure.

It is no surprise to me that kids fall in love with the cute characters, funny antics and songs, but us adults can rest easy on the learning aspect too, learning colours, numbers, shapes as well as some great social skills I think, especially with the way the Teletubbies all interact with each other. It gets a thumbs up from me.
