You cannot avoid the drama around Bunchems, it is all over social media how children have made crowns for their hair and as a result had to have their hair cut off. So when I received Bunchems for review, there was a few comments from friends about how I was irresponsible to give them to my 4 and 6 year old to play with. But I had opened the box and been astounded at the warning notices, not in small print but in bright red writing warning not to put them in your hair.

I explained to my children that they were not to put them in their hair, and my 4 year old turned to me and said ‘why would I? I wouldn’t put play-doh or paint in my hair…’, which is a very valid point, these are not advertised for making accessories for your body in anyway, they are advertised as a cool way to make models.

Opening up the easel I found 6 slots with different coloured Bunchems inside them.

The lids acts as a handy stand, you just slot it in the case on it’s side, you can then attach the Bunchems to this and they stick great. They stick to each other by the clever design that is lots of little hooks inside each of the Bunchems.

The great thing about these is that your imagination can run wild, and you can build anything you dream up. They stick well to each other independently, or onto the board. Ii have had friends ask if they stuck to my carpet, and although we have wooden floors, we have a huge rug and they do not attach in anyway to that, or clothes either for that matter. I love the this travel pack, as it is great for taking in the car or to family and friends. The only improvement I would like to see is a catch to keep the box shut, as it can pop open if too many Bunchems are in one hole.

So do I have faith in Bunchems? Totally. My children know not to put them near their hair, but they would have no reason to either. They are aimed at children aged 4+ and the company have added so many warnings, you cannot not realise that they are not intended for hair. We are already planning to purchase the Mega Pack next!

The RRP of this product is £14.99 and can be bought from all good toy stockists.

We were sent this product for the purpose of this review, all thoughts are my own.
