When the BRIO Parking Garage arrived for review, there was a lot of buzz surrounding it. We are long term BRIO fans, and we really know our stuff when it comes to good quality toys, so I hoped this would live up to my expectations.

Opening the box I was expecting lots of assembly, why? because years ago we had a wooden garage for my now 6 year old from a high street shop, and it was a nightmare to put together. But this was all complete, you just popped on the ramp which was then a permanent fixture, and slotted in the tower. Done.

No screws, no bolts, easy and simple. You are then left with the sturdy good quality solid parking garage. As you can see you also get two cars and a transporter included too. As well as ramps for your cars to get on and off.

As you can see, this is a complete garage and has many features, but what I love about this is that you don’t need to own any previous BRIO products, this is a complete garage for playing with cars. However if you have any BRIO wooden track or roadway you can connect these to the Parking Garage to create even more play factor! We are massive BRIO fans and have been creating many different scenarios with the track attached…

So as mentioned, there is so many features with the Parking Garage, firstly there is a working lift. This travels up from the ground floor and level 1, right up to level 2. It is easy to operate with the use of the red handle. On top of the lift is a helicopter pad, great for even more role play scope. There is parking spaces in abundance, on both levels. Mark’s particular favourite is the secret trap door, OK so it’s not actually a secret, but the kids believe it is. There is a red door in the floor, which you can position the transporter underneath, so when you press a button on the side, the car falls onto the transporter. But this is fun without a transporter too! The ramp is great fun too!  My children have spent hours upon hours playing with this, making up so many different scenarios, the children have been role playing so may different situations, it’s lovely to watch their imaginations come to life.

The attention to detail on this garage is great, I am impressed with the quality of the build too. It is built to last, there is no fiddly bits to get lost or break. It is a high quality item that has a really reasonable price tag, the RRP is £47.99 and that is a great price for such a fabulous sturdy product from a well known quality brand. I have owned similar priced wooden garages from high street shops and nothing has even come close to the quality of this garage. We love it!
