Imagine being two years old and having a world of interactive toys at your finger tips…well that is exactly what happened last weekend for Bemma. We have never purchased any of the previous Toot-Toot playsets, only a few vehicles which Bemma adores, so when this little bundle arrived she couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
The first item we opened up was the Toot-Toot Friends Hospital, with an RRP of £29.99 this is a complete playset. It comes complete with Doctor Doug who has very chirpy face on him. On the playset there is 3 MagicPoint locations, which work by placing one of the Toot-Toot friends on to them. When you do they make the character interact and talk, but it’s not just saying a phrase, the Toot-Toot Friend knows where they are and says something suitable for the location. Other features include a lift which you manually move, as well as a height chart and scale. There is also 5 pieces of track which can be configured however you like. This is a great playset for making children more aware of doctors and hospital situations, Doctor Doug is very reassuring too!
Next up was Toot-Toot Friends Trot & Go Pony. With a RRP of £15.99 this can seem a little pricey, but it has an amazing feature, the pony actually walks! It comes complete with Lizzie, the horse rider who has plenty to share with the little people who want to play, she sings two songs and the lights on the pony also light up at the same time when it is moving. Bemma absolutely loves the pony! She thinks it’s amazing that it moves just by placing Lizzie on it. The other items included is a fence, a cart for the pony to pull along and an all important bundle of carrots to put in the cart.
The star of the show has to be the Toot-Toot Friends Discovery House, with an RRP of £44.99 it isn’t cheap, but there is literally so many features, I would happily buy this over rival brands play houses. What makes this stand out is not only the size of the house, three floor, rooms, a garden and even a carry handle. It all folds in to help with space too. Included is Toot-Toot Friends Miss Nora, a dog toy, and even a BBQ!
There is 7 MagicPoint locations, which you can put any of the Toot-Toot Friends in, and they all say appropriate phrases for the location, such as at the front door it will ring the doorbell and ask such phrases as ‘Knock knock, it’s Dawn here’. The postbox also lights up at the same time. In the toilet there is a MagicPoint with phrases such as ‘Toilet time’ and a sound of a flushing toilet. There is also a lift with a MagicPoint, you simply put the Toot-Toot Friend on there and the lift actually moves up and down all by itself!! This was fascinating for Bemma! Outside the Discovery House is the garden, complete with slide and swing, it also comes complete with 4 pieces of track, yet again these can be configured however you like, your imagination is the only limit! In total the Toot-Toot Friends Discovery House has over 40 songs, melodies, phrases and souns, awesome! A massive thumbs up from us.
There is more Toot-Toot Friends to buy and collect, with a RRP of £8.99 each and they each come with their own toy they sit on, of course they are all interchangeable and are compatible with the other items in the range too.
VTech has always been a ‘go-to’ brand for me, their quality and reputation speaks for itself, and this new Toot-Toot Friends range is no different, they have excelled themselves, and Bemma certainly agrees with me!
