It has been just over a year since #projectskinnypins started, it wasn’t an easy journey…I had some failure weeks, I struggled, I even cried and made myself ill at one point, but in total I lost 2 stone with a mixture of Cambridge Weight Plan and Slimming World. Sometimes I can look into the mirror and see a difference, other times I feel the exact same I did before, the only way I can tell a difference is the fact I can zip up my size 12 trousers now, whereas I was squeezing into a size 14/16 back then.

But we all know it’s not the losing weight that’s important, its the maintenance to make sure it doesn’t go back on again. I have spent over a month feeling like poop, with ear and sinus infections, as a result I lost my appetite and lived off crumpets and peanut butter. Now I am feeling better and I won’t lie, I have been indulging a little too much recently, a little too much chocolate. This teamed with depression and some personal problems, this is a recipe for disaster.

So what’s the plan? I need to get back in control again. I technically still have one stone to lose. I wanted to keep on with slimming world, but I seem to be incapable of not overindulging in syns. So I have decided that I need to remove the temptation, I need to get back on the cambridge diet, the one that saw me lose weight and keep it off.  I had many people say to me that it was ‘a quick fix’ and I would ‘Put it all back on again, and some more’, but I think I have proved that despite it being months since I was last on it, I am still the exact same weight I was then.

So I have a calender set up, a tick list with boxes to tick as I have each product to keep me on track. 26 days until holiday….wonder how much weight I could lose….never to find again!
