Christmas parties don’t have to be a drab affair, with tacky tinsel, a stale buffet and a small tab behind the bar. Take inspiration from these fun party ideas this year and get into the festive spirit with your colleagues, before you take a welcome break and don’t have to see them for a week or so!

5. Casino Royale

You could stay at home playing slot games on SuperCasino, (and why wouldn’t you?) or you could bring the casino to you for your Christmas party. Book a venue or have your party at the office and hire out casino tables for a high stakes themed evening. Choose from Blackjack, Roulette, Poker or Vegas Slot machine games everyone can enjoy and get a bartender in to mix up those essential martinis to drink whilst placing your bets.

4. Ping pong tournament

If your colleagues are sporty, competitive types then a Ping Pong tournament should make for a fun evening, plus hitting tiny balls over a net whilst drinking alcohol will ensure an evening of fun. You can hire out tables to be brought to you or to your local sports hall.

Alternatively, if you work in London hire out the Bounce bar, which features plenty of tables to play on in a private room and a bar for your colleagues to enjoy.

3. Costume crawl

Why not just ditch the traditional Christmas party and arrange a pub crawl around your local town centre, after eating a hearty three-course meal together, of course? Dress up as classic Christmas characters, from the Grinch or a Reindeer to Saint Nick himself or wear the ugliest Christmas jumpers you can lay your hands on.

Arrange games for each pub you visit, or try out the 12 pubs of Christmas game which, you’ve guessed it, involves making your way round 12 pubs in one night and having a drink in each whilst adhering to certain rules in each venue.

2. Christmas on ice

Ice skating is a fun team building event – and also doubles up as a comedy affair as you watch people continuously fall onto their backs – so take your team to your local rink and book it for a couple of hours for some crisp cold fun. Treat them to a big dinner and drinks afterwards, as you reminisce over Dave from HR’s spectacular somersault and fall.

  1. Christmas Carol Karaoke

People always seem to groan when karaoke is mentioned, but after a few drinks everyone is a diva when handed the microphone. Get your hands on a karaoke machine, arrange for caterers and a cocktail bar to come to your office and get everyone crooning to their favourite Christmas songs.

Make sure Wizzard, Wham!, Mariah Carey and Shakin’ Stevens are on the list to get everyone in the festive spirit. Get your colleagues to vote for the best performances and crown someone as the Star Carol Singer at the end of the night.
