Crosse & Blackwell have a new range of Character themes pasta cans which are sure to appeal to kids all over. We were sent a selection of the cans to review with my 3 tiny testers.

Included in the selection is some of my children’s favourite characters, Lightening McQueen, Spongebob Squarepants, and Brooke’s favourite-Disney Princess. So why buy character branded food? Well last year I attended an event where I heard from some experts who had conducted research into how putting a character on something makes it more appealing to children. In fact, I watched video footage where they offered children the choice between a chocolate bar in plain packaging or a rock with a sticker on. Every single time, the child picked the rock. Yes, children are that shallow, mine included.

One of the most important things about the range is that each 213g can has a strict list of NO artificial additives, NO artificial colours, low in Fat, Low in Sugar. They also count as one of your children’s 5-a-day.

The pieces are a good size, and there was plenty of shapes in a can, there was a decent amount of sauce, but not too much.

These are fantastic for a quick snack, or as part of a meal. My kids love them.

You can buy them in all leading supermarkets for just 49p (RRP) per can.
