I may only be 28, but I started going grey at just 18 years old. I knew no one would believe me, so when I plucked that first ever grey hair out of my head, I saved it to show my mother. She was shocked, but told me it runs in the family as she also went grey at a very early age. Team that with the hereditary varicose veins and I come to the conclusion I do not have good genes. So the one thing that is important to me is keeping my skin looking young.  I might have grey hair and veiny legs but as long as I don’t have a face of wrinkles then that’s a step in the right direction.

There is many ways to help keep your skin looking young. Many people say that drinking lots of water is the key to youthful skin, and it’s a proven fact that it helps cleanse your skin making it look clearer and getting rid of those spots. I love mineral water and drink 2 litres a day, but of course tap water is just as good and very very cheap!

If you want to spend a little bit more on your skin, then maybe looking at some anti ageing creams is a good idea. I have always been told by mother that you pay for what you get in life. She swears by expensive creams like Nude Cellular Renewal Moisturiser. It is clinically advanced and has proven results. It works with an ingredient called n-probiotic™ active cell nutrient which stimulates the skin to produce its own anti-ageing ingredients. Clever stuff in a bottle.

I have also heard amazing things about Lacura wrinkle stop, which is available from Aldi for less than £10. Although it doesn’t claim to be as good as botox or the likes of Nude, it has received some amazing reviews and even the Daily Mail have reported on it.

Personally, I like to think prevention is better than cure. Start early, treat your skin with care and it will last longer. I don’t go on sunbeds, I don’t smoke and I try and drink lots and lots of water, and undertake a skincare routine daily where I cleanse, tone and moisturise.
