Nickelodeon is set to enchant viewers with a new series of hit international animation Winx Club, when “The Lilo” airs on Saturday 17th November at 7.30am.
In the season five premiere, the Winx rely on the people of Gardenia’s belief in magic to find the Lilo, a magical plant which will bloom for the first time in centuries, before the evil Trix discover it. The episode also features original single “We Are Believix” performed by Nickelodeon stars Elizabeth Gillies (Victorious), the voice of Winx Club’s Daphne, and Jade West (Victorious).
The modern-fantasy, adventure series continues to follow six best friends – Bloom, Stella, Flora, Musca, Tecna and Aisha – who are enrolled in Alfea College, the finest fairy school in the magic realm. When trouble arises, the Winx transform into beautiful fairies and use their unique magical powers to fight villains such as Lord Darkar, Valtor and ‘The Trix,’ a trio of witches from Cloudtower Academy who continually try to thwart the Winx Club and rule their world, Magix. Back again for the fifth series is ‘The Specialists,’ a group of brave and dreamy teenage boys from Redfountain School who join the Winx on their adventures. The animated adventure series will air regularly on Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30am on Nickelodeon. Featuring 13 original episodes co-produced by Rainbow S.p.A. and Nickelodeon, the new season of Winx Club showcases the voices of some of the network’s biggest stars including David Faustino (The Legend of Korra) as Helia, Keke Palmer (True Jackson, V.P.) as Aisha, Matt Shively (The Troop) as Sky and Molly C. Quinn (Castle) as Bloom.
Fans of the show can now also create their own magical adventures with a new line of official Winx Club merchandise from JAKKS Pacific and Creative Designs International. The range includes a series of collectable Fashion Dolls, which allow fans to create endless combinations of looks from ‘Party Princess’ to ‘Pop-Rocker.’ Also available is the Winx Club Frutti Music Bar Play Set and The Winx Club Rock Concert Stage where fans can take charge and create their own Winx Club concerts with the characters.
Finally, there is the Magic Wing Bloom Feature Doll where fans can place Bloom in the Transformation Station to turn her from girl to Believix fairy.
