Have you ever been to Kent? Located in the South East of England it is a regular choice for people who like to remain close to London but maybe want to be fairly close to the international links of the Eurostar and Dover ferry crossing. Kent is renowned for its strong historical links but also because of its abundance of orchards and hop gardens, Kent is known as "The Garden of England". It is also home to Kent County Council Schools who are one of the largest local authorities in the country, and as such are keen to recruit new staff for their 600+ schools.

With Kent being bordered with East Sussex, Surrey, Greater London and even just a bridge to connect it to Essex, it means easy travelling if you have family or friends around the UK. My Perfect Kent Day would include a trip to the beach, and with many coastal towns to choose from, you are spoilt for choice. I would then indulge in a spot of lunch and shopping at Bluewater before jetting off on the Eurostar to Disneyland! Well a girl can dream!

Kent County Council have launched a Facebook competition for people to who may be interested in Living and teaching in Kent. To be in with a chance of winning a weekend break to Kent you simply have to submit your story for 'My perfect Kent Day' which you could make a reality with a teaching career with Kent County Council. It is the perfect lifestyle opportunity to make a difference for your future. You can enter the story and make it as inventive as you like, and why not encourage your friends to enter too? You never know, if they win they might take you with them! So what would you do on your Perfect Kent Day Out?
