Pregnancy Diary: 30 weeks and totally disorganised.

I cannot believe I have hit 30 weeks pregnant with my fourth (and final) pregnancy. It has all flown by and with some much going on with moving house, kids starting school and going on holiday, I haven’t even given a thought to actually organising anything for the baby!!! . With all my previous pregnancies, I have been induced at 42 weeks. I have  never had any drama of my waters breaking or going into spontaneous labour, which is probably why I am in no hurry to sort anything out. But it occurred to me today that some babies are actually born early, earlier than what I am now, scary stuff. OK, it probably won’t happen to me, after all the consultant from my previous pregnancy says that my body doesn’t produce the hormones needed to labour naturally, but what if it does? I have no clothes for the baby, I have no car seat, I have a flat packed cot and the thought of a hospital bag has only just popped into my head.

More exciting than my lack of hormones, I am due to be an auntie for the first time at some point this month. I have been a constant advisor for my sister who is pregnant with her first child, as a mum to three already she has been on the telephone many times asking my opinion on potential buys. So there I am giving my sister advice about what to buy and not buy, yet haven’t even bought anything myself! But I have recieved some gorgeous gifts including these gorgeous Inch Blue Sheepskin Cwtches

as well as this gorgeous soft cotton babygro..

How gorgeous are they?? Full review post coming soon!

So what do you actually need for a newborn baby? Well there is the essentials, sleep suits, vests, nappies and somewhere to sleep. Then there is a pushchair and car seat, a hospital bag….it brings me over in a hot flush thinking just how disorganised I am!

  1. Thank you for sharing, I’m sure you have a lot more experience with what we need for a new born and congratulations on your 4th baby 🙂
