It’s my Birthday and I can buy if I want to!

So today is my Birthday, I am a whole 28 years old…and am heading towards 30 rather quickly. I have spent the last month telling people that there is actually nothing I want them to buy me, and I mean it. Now I am not into that reverse psychology crap where people say they don’t want presents and then cry when they don’t get none, I truly mean it. There is nothing I actually want, and if there is, then I would buy it. Or would I?? I have to admit I haven’t bought myself any treats in a while, I much prefer to indulge my money on my children.

So what does my mother and mother in law do? They give me money. Despite me telling them they don’t need to, they insist that I should buy myself something nice…..something for me.

So the first thing that pops into my head is…

I LOVE macaroons! But they don’t last long sadly, especially as I love them so much…

So what about clothes? Well I need some new clothes, but I am 30 weeks pregnant and don’t really want to splash out on more maternity clothes that will get worn for a maximum of 14 weeks. I also have a plan for weight loss once baby is born, but don’t really want to buy something in my dream size only to be disappointed when I don’t fit in it. Oh and then there is the fact that I have no fashion sense at all.

What about a handbag? A handbag, what is one of those again?! I have been using my gorgeous OiOi brown leather changing bag as a handbag for at least the last year. It is large enough to be used for the kids stuff, but also for my stuff too and I do love to carry a lot of stuff around.  But do I go for casual or dressy? I don’t go anywhere for dressy any more and my hoard of Louis Vuitton and Chloe are wrapped up in their dustbags and are in my wardrobe waiting for the day I might return to the office that isn’t within the boundaries of my house. But again, I have no fashion sense…I love this though..

Shoes. I could buy new shoes, and actually said to my mum that I will buy new shoes. I need some comfortable shoes. I need pumps. Yes, I am the person who refused to wear flats up until 2 years ago when I tried my first ever pair of pumps and fell totally in love with their softness. Again, I have stacks of gorgeous sexy heels upstairs lined up ready for the day I actually go somewhere. But until then, I have a toddler who needs running around after…so maybe something more like this would be appropriate…

So what have I bought with my cash? Nothing, yet! I am tempted to buy Marky his much wanted toy from the adverts at the moment…Octonauts Gup X

 But am refraining….for now….
