Last week I made an evening trip into the big smoke to attend a cookery school. Very needed I hear you say, well yes I am not the best cook in the world and can do with all the help I can get. But what I lack in skill and creativity, I make up for with oodles of enthusiasm.

The event was to test out the new range of Maggi creations. Maggi So Juicy and Maggi So Crispy.

Arriving at the event, I was running a little late but just in time to get making some Maggi So Crispy! So how do you actually it I hear you cry…..

First of all get the ingredients. All you need it chicken, an egg and a packet of Maggi So Crispy. Ignore the veggies, these are for the next one!

Crack the egg into the bowl and whisk until the yolk and white is mixed. Then simply dip the chicken in the egg and then roll into the Maggi So Crispy mix.

Lay onto a baking tray and pop in the oven and cook until golden brown!

One of the things that really stood out to me, is that the Maggi So Crispy mix has no artificial colours, no artificial flavours, no added MSG, no artifical colours and no hydrogenated vegetable oil. Asking the Nestle representative who creates the products, she explained that they have used a great mix of spices to create the strong flavour, which is why they don’t need to add the nasties.

Tasting my Maggi So Crispy Chilli Chicken, I was really pleased with the results. It took hardly any effort to cook, and certainly no hard to follow instructions. My children would love to eat these, and with them being so easy I am sure they could help me create them. The possibilities of these are endless, I fancy them with some spicy rice, or maybe some homemade potato wedges….the list goes on!

Maggi So Crispy is available in the following flavours:

Maggi So Juicy was next up to test out, and I am afraid that as I was running a little late I got out of the vegetable chopping duties but did get to sample the end result!

To create the Maggi So Juicy, you simple pop all your ingredients into the bag provided in the sachet. You then simply add the spice mix, tie up and pop into the oven to cook. All the juices are kept inside the bag which means you get some delicious juicy chicken which isn’t dried out. In the one I tried there was added peppers and onions, but the scope of what you could add is endless. Again, it was effortless and provided a really tasty meal!

The flavous of the Maggi So Juicy range are as follows: note that they are not all for chicken, there is one for beef too!

I came away from the Maggi event with so many ideas buzzing around my head for potential dinners, and remember I am the most uncreative person ever! The Maggi range is brilliant in my opinion, and I know my hubby and kids are going to love my creations.

Thanks Maggi!

I was not paid for this review. I did attend a fabulous event where we were supplied with pimms, although that didn’t have any effect on my thoughts and feelings of the Maggi range as being pregnant I couldn’t indulge. My thoughts are all my own opinion.
