Trend Micro – Digital Joneses Task. The Talk 2.0

For our next Digital Joneses task we were asked to have ‘the talk’, but luckily not the birds and bees, but ‘The Talk 2.0’. This consists of talking to a family member about Internet Safety.

For our next Digital Joneses task we were asked to have ‘the talk’, but luckily not the birds and bees, but ‘The Talk 2.0’. This consists of talking to a family member about Internet Safety. We were given two fantastic guides about different subjects, pointers and advice which are available at  http://bit.ly/GLBvhn

I decided to film my two eldest children, Jordan who is 9 and Brooke who is 7. Jordan has learning difficulties due to having Autism and ADHD, he has a mental age of a child a lot younger so it was interesting to find his take on online safety. Brooke is 7 and is mad about computers, she thinks she knows everything…

I like to think I have an open and frank relationship with the children, I try and keep the lines of communication open all the time so they can ask me anything and everything without no pressure or a massive thing made out of something small or even not so small. As a family we allow the children time online each day, but they are supervised. We have all the computers and laptops connected to a network inside the house, which is also connected to the main TV in the living room. With this we can see exactly what they are up to without directly sitting behind them watching their every move.

Anyway, without further delay here is our totally unscripted Talk 2.0 with Jordan and Brooke.
